Dr. Kosmas Ellinas is<\/strong>\u00a0co-founder of the spin-off company of NCSR Demokritos called NANOPLASMAS P.C. Nanoplasmas has an innovative plasma nanotexturing technology.\u00a0This patented technology has been incorporated into microfluidic devices creating lab-on-chip diagnostics. Kosmas Ellinas has attracted more than 900k Euros funding during 2017-2023 and he has participated in 7 research projects with National, European as well as private funding (Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation, BIC Violex S.A., Huawei etc. several as Pi or co-PI). He is the author or co-author in more than 40 publications and inventor or co-inventor in 4 patents.\u00a0Research interestsQ Microfluidics\/Lab on chip, functional surfaces (antibacterial, antifouling, control of optical surfaces, wetting, Surface modification (topography & surface chemistry), Diagnostics (environmental, food, health)<\/p>\n

Dr. Ilise Feitshans<\/strong> obtained the first Swiss doctorate in the law of nanotechnology in 2014, which became the book Global\u00a0 Health Impacts of NANOTECHNOLOGY Law. Ilise is now studying\u00a0\u00a0 governance and law of\u00a0 nanotechnologies for the Masters of Law (LLM) in global health law in Georgetown University law center Washington DC.<\/p>\n
